Limited edition Christmas tins launched

This year, four beautiful limited edition tins were created to celebrate the festive season. They will gradually be introduced in selected countries around the world, so keep an eye on the shelves of your local whisky retailer and be the first to get your hands on them!

I have seen the 12yr old version here already(Australia). I have noticed it has been available for sometime...I did not know it was the Christmas Ed.

Very nice looking tins!

Have got all four from Germany over a month ago, so Christmas starts early ;-)

Hi Troy,
Sorry for the late answer, I'm just back from South Africa.
You'll be happy to hear we didn't produce market specific tins but not all markets ordered our Christmas tins. You won't find all of them in every country around the world.
Now regarding the 21 and 30 year old, our decision not to produce limited edition tins for them was based on the fact that they are already rare, limited single malts.
We clearly couldn't produce tins for all of our products so we had to make a choice.
Do you wish we had produced tins for our 21 and 30 year old as well?

No worries Ludo, hope you had a great trip!

On reading your advice above re: Specific market "Not" ordering all the tins...did Australia??

I see your point regarding the tins for the 21 and 30yr old, however I do think that the 21yr old at least could have had a nice new home for Christmas...
;-)
And maybe there could be a limited, Limited release of all '5' in a green and red box/case...?? For next Christmas of course.
Cheers Ludo!

Not too many tins please ;-) Glad you only made one edition for all markets, it's hard enought to keep up with all the new Vintage Reserves and the Private Vintages. There have been so many new ones this year.

Cheers

Hi Troy,
I like your idea of a box containing all 5 variants. It would certainly make for a nice Christmas gift! I'll definitely pass the idea on to our marketing team.
Now regarding which tins Australia got, I'm pretty sure you only got the 12yo. Sorry!

The new 12 yo tin was on the shelf last night in Ontario, Canada, but the 1.14 litre 12 yo was on for a very good price so I got it instead. By the way I picked up a Glenfiddich 15 yo cask strength at the Glasgow airport on my way home - what a wonderful dram!!

I read in playboy that one could get a special Private Vintage label from you. HOW?
Playboy says there is a 1974 vintage.
I'm interested.

Hi John,
Exclusive companies looking to offer a unique product to their customers may purchase a cask from our Rare Collection. Recently, we bottled Private Vintages for companies such as Concorde, the Turnberry hotel or the Queen Mary 2 ocean liner.
Playboy Germany did indeed ask us for a 1974 cask, which we bottled in 2005. It’s a limited edition of 248 bottles which are sold exclusively in Germany and on www.glenfiddich.de.
Hope this helps,
Ludo
