Christmas update

Christmas is now only a few days away, so we would like to keep you posted with our plans over the festive season.

As is customary at Glenfiddich at this time of year, distillation is going to stop to allow for essential maintenance work to be carried out.
Our current plan is to stop distilling on Thursday 21st December. Mashing should resume on January 3rd with the first drop of next year’s vintage scheduled to flow from our stills 3 days later on January 6th.
Our Visitor Centre will also be closed during the shutdown period. It is due to re-open on Monday 8th January.

Ian and I would also like to ask for your patience during the holiday season. We’ll try to keep answering your questions as quickly as possible but we may take slightly longer than usual.

Finally, we’d like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and we look forward to next year when we’ll be sharing with you more exclusive news and behind-the-scene stories. 2007 is going to be a busy year for Glenfiddich as we’ll be able to reveal lots of exciting projects we’ve been working on.
As usual, you’ll be reading about them here first.

Merry Christmas!

Ludo

PS: My dram for Christmas will be a drop of Glenfiddich 18 Years Old. What will yours be?

Merry Christmas to you Ludo!
On christmas day, I'll be opening a bottle of Glenfiddich Distillery Malt. I bought it when I visited your distillery in the summer. I haven't opened it yet. cheers!

Merry Christams to you and Ian and all the wonderful folk at Glenfiddich.

I think mine will be Solera 15 yo - what a great dram to celebrate Christmas, or any day...

Probably either Solera or Caoran - I keep returning to those. Lovely.

I'm lucky I have a few leftovers. So mine will be Private Vintage for Fenton Tower, Glenfiddich 30y, Havana cask and the last drop of a 30y Balvenie

Merry Christmas & Happy Hogmanay

During my Connoisseurs tour on December 18th I was introduced to a Glenfiddich that we can't get here in the 'States, Gran Reserva 21 Year Old. I was enjoying a wee dram of that on Christmas, and will look forward to returning to the bottle that I've left in our holiday home up the road from Dufftown later in the year.

Perhaps if it was labeled as being finished in "Caribbean" rum casks instead of "Cuban" we'd be allowed it here in the colonies? :-)
