Mashing starts again
Production at Glenfiddich has successfully started again. The first mash of the year took place yesterday, only a day behind schedule. The lovely smell of fermentation is beginning to fill the air again and it's now only a matter of hours before the first drop of this year’s vintage flows from our stills. Of course, we won’t be enjoying this 2007 Glenfiddich for a while as we only bottle our single malt when it reaches maturity… 12 years later. I wonder what I’ll be doing in 2019?
Happy New Year to you all!
