Our community

Being Glenfiddich's Global Ambassador is simply a dream job. As well as travelling around the world to talk about my favourite single malt, I often get credited for the quality of our whisky! As flattering as this may be, I always try to explain that we do have a team of craftsmen in Dufftown who actually make our whisky. But I suppose, being the only point of contact most people have with our company, the congratulations and thanks are often passed on to me. I won’t complain!

Today, however, I have the opportunity to put things right and pass the credit on to the people who truly deserve it – our community of craftsmen.

Undoubtedly, every single one of our craftsmen deserves recognition but today I would like bring the spotlight on to our longest serving employees.

Incredibly:
- 20 Glenfiddich craftsmen have been working for William Grant & Sons for over 30 years.
- Our longest-serving craftsman, Dennis McBain, started his 50th year as Glenfiddich’s Coppersmith on October 1st.
- When Glenfiddich 30 Years Old was distilled, Dennis had already been with us for almost 20 years.
- Combining the experience of our 28 longest-serving employees, including our Malt Master, David Stewart, adds up to over one millennium!

Their expertise and obvious dedication have and continue to play a tremendous part in Glenfiddich’s success.

Today, I simply wanted to say thank you. Thanks to all of you for making my job so easy.

Slainte!

Ludo
